all alone on a highway..
waiting wid a sign board..
waiting fer some1..
to take him away..
familiar faces drive by..
in too much of a hurry..
to stop and ask..
"hey angel r'nt u heading the same way"
in the twilight..he looks around..
waiting to be found..
from the dark a dog comes out..
2 strays under the same stars..
both without collars both meant to live
hes been hungry fer years
left wid juz a piece of bread..
but throws it to the dog..
"live now..die some other day"
he packs up and starts walkin..
a stray wid a stray dog..
lookin fer sum1 to take him der..
the traveller wid no destination..
beaten and bruised..
juz waiting wid a signboard..
all alone on a freeway..
watchin ppl roll by..
standin bare foot on the hot ground..
waiting fer sum1 to take him away..
with the sign that reads
do remember to forget me as i fade away
A cold night as cold as her eyes
The one that was always alone
No path to choose
No streets to walk on
No one to look for
No place to go
The snow falls all around
She shivers but doesn’t know why
Every time the wind picked up
She closed her eyes but doesn’t know why
Fire burning in the distance so warm so beautiful
Her feet follow her steps but she doesn’t know why
Her naked steps in this broken world
Taking her to where she began
Where she stood held no ground
Just a cry for help and a few forgotten tears
Her name a memory fallen
Her belongings she didn’t have any
Another line drawn as she counts the days without food
Another dawn breaks with the snow as water
The cold winters and the colder summers
She knew them too well
For she was the child of destiny
Fated for misery fated to suffer
The sun shines and den dies
But she stays the same
All too cold all too alone
Watching people smile, for reasons she doesn’t know why
Over the pond she tries to imitate
But it never looks the same
She doesn’t know why
Another dark night another cold
She shivers but doesn’t know why
For she never knew love so she doesn’t know pain
Pain that’s all she has pain that is all hers
Another line drawn as she counts the days without food
From the darkness a shadow approaches
The one they call the old man
Brought with him a piece of bread
The once all cruel world had gotten so warm
Warm like the warm piece of bread
The coldness all melting away as tears sparkled down her face
And there it was
The cold the hollow the all alone
The child of sorrow
Had finally found her smile
